As technology usage has increased, the rate of reported computer related crime has increased as well. The Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov) reported in 2000 it received 16,838 complaints, in 2010 they received 303,809 complaints*. That’s an increase of over 1700 percent.
